Trends for corporate events

Always try to bring the latest trends in events in general, you can learn about them in the free ebook Trends in Event Management.

But in this case, I decided to focus on trends for corporate events. End of the year, dinners, companies, clients, co-workers, human resources… all elements that cross each year to live different experiences.

The trends I will talk about next are beating around the world, they are just arriving to the country and who better than you to apply them in your company.

Facebook live

Live broadcasts are in vogue and allow you to witness (online) something that is happening in another physical location. The reach and use that Facebook is given in the world is enough to realize that this tool is very powerful.

You can use Facebook Live for speeches, opening ceremonies of an event, showing the arrival to the show, etc. A free and innovative resource is to broadcast live. If your company has offices in other parts of the world you can make those people feel closer, with a simple live broadcast.

Personalization at the time of registration

The data of the guests or participants are key. They allow you to know the public better and to keep a report of each event.

By means of registration or ticket purchase forms you can request personalized and valuable data. You can also offer discounts for certain attendees, activities and personalized meals, among other things. Each attendee will feel unique.

Emotions

Intelligence and emotions when it comes to getting the attention of the audience add up. At the event, you could organize activities that involve the use of the senses and connecting more with each other.

More creative emails

Email marketing is not dead, but you have to put effort into every campaign. People don’t read things that are boring or considered spam, so you have to get creative, especially in the subject line.

Once the person opens the email, he or she must have all the precise information about the event and a phone number or direct and immediate contact when in doubt.

Being more active

You have to think about how to reach the attendees through all channels: social networks, blogs, websites, influencers, etc. We must be more attentive, know how to listen and gradually create a community where attendees can remain connected even after the event.

More informal treatment

Both the dealings with the attendees and the presentations should be more dynamic and not so formal or serious. Boring does not attract attention.

Nowadays, speakers who usually go to various events to give talks, recognize that the interaction of the audience is key. Feedback in the moment, keep the permanent attention of the listeners and encourage them to ask the questions or topics that make the most noise to them.

No paper

The use of paper for invitations, tickets and business cards is eliminated. Everything is managed and done through online channels. Event management platforms, applications for viewing the event agenda and exchanging contact data are the new allies if we talk about corporate events.
